Team Parks, Inc. has been named general contractor for the renovation of Sandhill Cove in Palm City. Construction is scheduled to begin February 24th.
Julie Bindle of Sandhill Cove says “The residents and staff at Water's Edge Extended Care are extremely excited to begin the first phase of our renovation project to our Health Center. The first phase will consist of a complete refurbishment of all resident rooms and corridors. Phase two will consist of a complete renovation of the common areas in both the Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living to incorporate a 'like home' environment. With the completion of the renovation project, we will be able to look our best, to reflect the exceptional care we provide each day to our residents.”
Brett Zurich, Team Parks Project Manger explains, “Included in the first phase renovations are replacing all flooring, patching and repairing walls, installing new vanities, updating the fixtures in the resident restrooms, updating the finishes in the rooms, raising handrails to ADA standards, basically giving the living areas a complete face lift. The project is reviewable by Florida Agency for Health Care Administration which is the state entity responsible for the administration of the Medicaid program, for the licensure and regulation of health facilities and for providing information to Floridians about the quality of the health care they receive in Florida. The requirements of working in health care exceed the standard building code and require specific attention to patient safety and infection control.”
Sandhill Cove is a life-care retirement community located on 36 acres in Palm City which provides quality housing, supportive services and health care.
