Dogs & Cats Forever held a groundbreaking ceremony today for the construction of their new facility on Selvitz Road in Ft. Pierce. Team Parks, Inc., general contractor, was present to help them kick off the start of the project. Team Parks will be constructing a 5,996 s.f. no kill Animal Sanctuary. Charlie Sabin says “I've never seen an executive director work so hard and be so committed to her purpose. The Treasure Coast is certainly fortunate to have such a dedicated individual as Johanna Apicella. TEAM PARKS looks forward to helping her achieve that goal.” Clearing of the site is scheduled to begin next week.
Johanna Apicella of Dogs & Cats Forever says “It is a great victory for homeless pets in our community.”
Dogs & Cats Forever is a 501C3 non-profit organization which operates on donations and items sold at their Thrift Shop in Port St. Lucie. The facility will consist of 40 interior - exterior dog kennels, 4 interior – exterior cat rooms, 2 interior cat display areas and an interior play room.
